Information and communication technology

Information and communication technology is an integral part of the state’s economy and the most important driver for productivity and growth. The cluster IKT.NRW considers itself an information and communication hub for all players of the growth sector ICT. IKT.NRW creates networks between partners that work in the different ICT areas or that use interdisciplinary technologies in their fields of application. It also advocates an active promotion of innovation processes. Currently the FIR contributes to the cluster activities with the projects ACC-EC, SISE and WivU-Transfer.
