1st ICRM1st International Conference on Ramp-up Management |
Due to fast changing market requirements and short product lifecycles the Ramp-up phase is the crucial point in the lifecycle of a production system. Various stakeholders and departments such as design, purchasing, production, engineering and other functional sections of a company interconnect for the first time. The intercommunication in this phase leads to turbulences in the planning procedure and requires many interdependent decisions in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.
Therefore the transfer of the planned socio-technical production system into serial state is characterized by instable behaviour. Changing requirements as well as vague specifications impede safe predictions concerning the production output of the system. Striking gaps between planned and actual starting curves appear and often customer requirements cannot be met because of unsatisfying product quality and quantities.
Establishing stability within this unstable surrounding is the main challenge in Ramp-up Management. The first International Conference on Ramp-up Management offers a new platform for the exchange of experiences for researchers and managers. The focus of the conference is set on the presentation of highly innovative methods and models from sciences as well as producing industry.
The conference is a stage for the exchange of experience between industry and research regarding present and future developments on following topics:
