Industrial Logistics (Sommersemester)
Introduction (lecture and Beer Distribution Game)
The module „Introduction” opens up the lecture „Industrial Logistics“. After a short overview on Logistics in general the different modules of the lecture are presented. The purpose is to give a basic idea of the lecture’s content and to point out the relations between the modules. Within the lecture the theoretical aspects of Logistics are whenever possible illustrated by cases from industrial practice.
After the lecture, the students will play the "Beer Distribution Game", in order to gain some experience about the dynamics of supply chains and the impact of the Bullwhip effect.
