Die Verbraucher und Steuerzahler würden auf diese Weise erleben, dass ihr Geld zu Arbeitsplätzen, Einkommen und Gewinnen hierzulande führt. Noch braucht es massive Forschungs- und Entwicklungsarbeit, bis sich nachhal- tige Technologien zu geringeren Kosten rentabel her- stellen lassen. Der amerikanische Staat ließ das Arpanet 1 , die Basis für das heutige Internet, entwickeln, um im Falle eines Atomkriegs die Kommunikation aufrecht zu erhalten. Man stelle sich vor, er würde heute nur ein Prozent aller Umsätze mit dem Internet als Tantieme verlangen: wie viel Geld dann bereit stünde, um die grüne Revolution zu finanzieren – und mit deren Gelingen neue Forschungsmittel für das nächste gesellschaftliche Großprojekt zu generieren.
