In addition to work, we offer many sports opportunities here, and our LuKo1 team of volunteers ensures that fun activities are not neglected. UdZ: Professor Boos: What are you most looking forward to in your new role at FIR? Boos: It’s certainly a big mix and I don’t want to pick out any individual points so as not to neglect others. Basically, I would like to uphold the spirit I encountered here while driving forward our competitive arenas, i. e., research, industry, teaching and learning, and continuing education. The conditions we can offer with our demonstration factory, theme park, research labs, and the centers of the Smart Logistics cluster make us unique. If we get the best possible results here, we have an environment that not only attracts partners from industry and research, it also makes collaboration incredibly exciting for our employees. Everyone should know their role and contribution in the big “gearbox” that is FIR. I’m looking forward to that and to the fact that we can make a lot of exciting things happen. UdZ: Thank you both very much for the open words and interesting insights. We are excited to see what solutions we find for the challenges of tomorrow, first and foremost, of course, digitalization and the circular economy. We wish you every success in your professional and private lives and the necessary bit of luck we all need in our endeavors. The interview was conducted by Birgit Merx, Head of Communication Management, and Marion Riemer, Public Relations at FIR.
