FIR NEWS 34 / UdZ 01.23 Neues Forschungsprojekt ‚5G4Me’ gestartet 5G, die fünfte Generation der Mobilfunktechnologie, verspricht ein wichtiger Wegbereiter für die Industrie der Zukunft zu werden. Innovative industrielle Dienstleistungen und Anwendungen sowie neue Betriebs- und Produktionsmodelle werden entstehen. Während Großunternehmen 5G im Rahmen von Pilotprojekten austesten und teilweise in Serie nutzen, müssen KMU noch einige Herausforderungen zur 5G-Einführung bewältigen. Ziel des Forschungsprojekts ‚5G4Me’ ist die Schaffung einer Entscheidungshilfe, auf Basis derer KMU prüfen können, ob und in welcher Form sie 5G in ihre Geschäftsmodelle integrieren können. Durch die erzielten Projektergebnisse wird erwartet, dass KMU die Entscheidungsfindung erleichtert wird und diese die Wertschöpfungspotenziale von 5G schneller und zielgerichteter realisieren können. » 5g4me.fir.de New Research Project '5G4Me' Launched 5G, the fifth generation of mobile technology, promises to be an important enabler for the industry of the future. Innovative industrial services and applications as well as new operating and production models will emerge. While large companies are testing 5G in pilot projects and in some cases using it in series production, SMEs still have to overcome a number of challenges to 5G deployment. The aim of the ‘5G4Me’ research project is to create a decisionmaking aid on the basis of which SMEs can examine whether and in what form they can integrate 5G into their business models. The project results achieved are expected to facilitate SMEs' decision-making and enable them to realize the value creation potential of 5G more quickly and in a more targeted manner.
