UdZ 2-2013
14 Unternehmen der Zukunft 2/2013 UdZ Informationsmanagement D5.3 which describes the three final use cases ICT-Enabled Demand Side Management, E-Roaming and Vehicle to Grid (V2G) [1]. ICT-Enabled Demand Side Management is able to adapt the energy demand of electric vehicles to the supply of renewable energy und thus reducing the grid load. This can be achieved by introducing variable prices for electricity which would give incentives to charge electric vehicles at times with high amounts of renewables energies. E-Roaming lets e-mobility users buy energy from different e-mobility service providers and pay all bills summarized at their own. Being able to charge electric vehicles at as many places as possible in the most convenient way is crucial for the success of e-mobility. With Vehicle to Grid electric vehicles can be used to support the grid by using the batteries of electric vehicles as energy source. The user can specify how much range he is going to need and the rest figure 2: FP7: Future Internet Private-Public Partnership: Programme Architecture (Source: [2]) of the battery capacity can be used to stabilize the grid. All in all, the interaction of electric vehicles with the power grid and transport infra- structure requires new innovative services and comes along with significant functional and non-functional ICT requirements. The requirements are to be satisfied with generic and specific enabling technologies that are described by the FINSENY project. The requi- rements and ICT enablers are provided to the project FI-Ware that develops an architecture supporting not only smart energy use cases, but use cases in numerous domains. Due to the successful work in FINSENY and an tech- nically excellent proposal for phase II, the follow-up project FINESCE won the competition. Continuing the work of FINSENY, trials will be implemented the in phase II project FINESCE (cf. figure 2). The solutions and standards resulting will be verified figure 3: WP 3 FI developing the B2B energy eco-system
