Für das Intelligente Gebäude, das hochmoderne Laborflächen mit Werkstattbereichen, Büros, Meetingräumen und Eventflächen kombiniert, wurde am Dienstag der Grundstein gelegt. Mit Raum für Forschung, Entwicklung und Gastronomie auf rund 13.000 m² Brutto- geschossfläche ist das Gebäude der letzte Entwicklungsabschnitt des Clusters Smart Logistik, das damit als erstes Cluster auf dem Campus komplettiert wird. Die Konzeption des von agn Niederberghaus & Partner GmbH entworfenen Gebäudes fördert die visuelle Kommunikation. Das Entree erfolgt über ein helles Foyer. Über die großzügige Sitztreppe erreicht man ein großes Atrium, dessen Fläche im 1. OG als multifunktionaler Begegnungs- und Ausstellungsraum genutzt werden kann. Die Erschließung der flexiblen Büro- und Laborflächen in den Obergeschossen erfolgt über Galerien, die um das Atrium angeordnet sind.
