Professor Stich danke ich für viele Jahre intensiver, vertrauensvoller Zusammenarbeit. Gemeinsam haben wir vieles für das Unternehmen der Zukunft erreicht und dazu beigetragen, die Lücke zwischen Industrie und Forschung zu schließen. Ich schätze sein immerwährendes Engagement sowie die Leidenschaft und Kreativität, mit der er Dinge angeht. Ganz besonders freue ich mich, dass Professor Stich auch über seine Amtszeit hinaus als Mitglied des FIR-e. V.-Präsidiums mit dem FIR verbunden sein wird. Veränderung ist der Motor des Fortschritts. Das gilt für alle Bereiche unseres Lebens. In diesem Sinne wünsche ich Professor Boos das notwendige Gespür für die richtigen Entscheidungen, den Mut, auch einmal unkonventionelle Wege zu wagen und das Quäntchen Glück, das zum Erfolg notwendig ist. Ich bin überzeugt davon, dass er den richtigen Kurs einschlagen wird, um mit seinem Team die Rolle des FIR in Wirtschaft und Industrie weiter auszubauen und maßgebliche Impulse für Wachstum und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu setzen. I would like to thank Professor Stich for many years of intensive, trusting cooperation. Together we have achieved a great deal for the company of the future and helped close the gap between industry and research. I appreciate his everlasting commitment and the passion and creativity with which he has approached all of his tasks. I am particularly pleased that Professor Stich will serve beyond his term of office as a member of the FIR Board of Directors and thus will stay connected with FIR. Change is the engine of progress. This applies to all areas of our lives. In this sense, I wish Wolfgang Boos a knack for making the right decisions, the courage to explore unconventional paths and that little bit of good luck that you need to succeed. I am convinced that together with his team, he will take the right course to further expand the role of FIR in business and industry and to provide significant impetus for growth and increased competitiveness.
