In particular, the shift toward electromobility poses existential challenges for suppliers of metal forming components for the powertrain and increases the pressure to align their value chains and business models with future trends in order to remain competitive in the market. This is precisely where the TuWAs research project comes in, which aims to develop concrete decision-making aids and transformation concepts for this branch of industry and to provide important impetus for the preservation of jobs, know-how, and manufacturing networks in Germany and Europe.
