Bei Chatbots handelt es sich um computerbasierte Systeme, die mit den Nutzer:innen autonom und textbasiert in einen natürlichen Dialog treten können.1 ImB2C-Sektor sind Chatbots bereits als „innovative und digitale Servicehelfer“ für den Kundenservice im Einsatz. Sie ermöglichen es Unternehmen, ihren Kundenservice zu verbessern, den Ausbau ihrer internationalen Aktivitäten durch Mehr- sprachigkeit zu forcieren sowie die Produktivität zu steigern. Die zielgerichtete und koordinierte Einführung der Chatbot-Technologie ist eine zentrale Herausforderung für viele Unternehmen. Dabei geht es vor allem darum, Hürden zu berücksichtigen, die bei der Einführung eines Chatbots auftreten können. Diese Umsetzungshürden sowie der Umgang zur Überwindung dieser Hürden entscheiden über den Erfolg und Misserfolg einer Chatbot-Einführung. Werden Hürden im Rahmen einer vorausschauenden Planung frühzeitig erkannt und berücksichtigt, helfen proaktive Maßnahmen, negative Auswirkungen schon in einem frühen Einführungsstadium zu verringern oder zu verhindern.2 Bei der Einführung des Chatbots werden Prozesse neu gestaltet, um die Funktionen der Technologie in den Arbeitsablauf zu integrieren. These implementation hurdles and the measures taken to overcome them determine the success or failure of the project. If barriers are identified and taken into account early on as part of a forward-looking planning procewss, proactive measures help to reduce or prevent adverse effects at an early stage of implementation.2 When introducing a chatbot, processes are redesigned in order to integrate the functions of the technology into existing workflows.
