Wo Handelsbeziehungen und Energiepolitik neugestaltet werden, um nach- haltig und sozialgerecht wirtschaften zu können, spielen auch Daten eine entscheidende Rolle. Digitale Souveränität in Europa erfordert eine sichere und vernetzte Dateninfrastruktur. Mit diesem Ziel wurde 2019 das Projekt ‚Gaia-X‘ ins Leben gerufen; hier gestalten interna- tionale Vertreterinnen und Vertreter ausWirtschaft,Wissenschaft und Politik gemeinsam die Rahmenbedingungen für den Datenaustausch und dieGeschäftsmodelle der Zukunft. DieBeteiligung von kleinen undmittleren Unternehmen (KMU) ist ein essenziellerBestandteil der Gaia-X-Strategie, denn sie bilden das Rückgrat unsererWirtschaft. Das FIR an der RWTH Aachen gestaltet diesenTransfer im Rahmen des wissenschaftlichen Projekts ‚Uranos-X‘. Das zukünftige Gaia-XperienceLab im Cluster Smart Logistik wird dabei die zentrale Anlaufstelle für den interaktiven Einstieg in die digitalen Ökosysteme Europas sein. > Uranos-X: An Interactive Entry Into Gaia-X for the Manufacturing Industry Sovereignty: This is a concept that has taken on special significance for us in Europe in 2022. Where trade relations and energy policy are being reshaped in order to be able to operate sustainably and in a socially just manner, data also plays a decisive role. Digital sovereignty in Europe requires a secure and connected data infrastructure. With this goal in mind, the ‘Gaia-X’ project was launched in 2019. In Gaia-X, international representatives from business, science and politics are jointly shaping the framework conditions for the data exchange and the business models of tomorrow. The participation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is an essential part of the Gaia-X strategy, as they form the backbone of our economy. FIR at RWTH Aachen University is shaping this transfer as part of the ‘Uranos-X’ scientific project.
