Research Advisory Board (Forschungsbeirat)

The Research Advisory Board reviews, advises on, accompanies and coordinates research projects submitted to it by FIR e.V. Two criteria play a decisive role here:

1. The Research Advisory Board examines the research proposals with regard to the state of research and checks whether the research questions have already been answered by other parties.
2. The Research Advisory Board then assesses the economic potential of the research projects and their pre-competitiveness. This ensures that SMEs have continuous access to the current state of technological knowledge and thus enhance their international competitiveness in the respective economic sector or technology field.
