SPECTRUM – APPLIED RESEARCH 50/ UdZ 01.22 The project ‘GALA – Innovative Learning and Working in Aachen Region's Health Sector’ aims to develop sector-specific tools and models of work design and skillsmanagement, especially for companies and institutions from thehealthcare sector in theAachen region, and to sustainably promote their widespread use. The focus is on four defined key topics: HumanMachine Interaction, Healthy Working, Digital Collaboration, and Agility and Innovation. In order to ensure that the project results are made available in the long term, an “Aachen Living Lab Initiative” is being set up, offering visionary concepts and strategies for work design and competency management. This research and development project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the “Future of Work” program and the “Innovation and structural transformation” program and implemented by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA). The core objective of the ‘Y-Mas’ project is to create a sustainable and comprehensive training program for Spanish-speaking Latin America in the area of industrial production management. It is targeted at skilled workers and middle and lower management in manufacturing companies. Y-Mas thus compensates for existing weaknesses in regional education and training in production management and supplements exiting educational offerings with new content and materials, for example around the transformation to Industrie 4.0. The research and development project ‘Y-Mas’ is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the research program “Internationalization of Vocational Education and Training” and managed by the DLR Projektträger. The project ‘AKzentE4.0 – Human Factors Competence Center for Employment in Industrie 4.0’ aims to promote the socially sustainable introduction and implementation of Industrie 4.0 concepts and technologies in SMEs in the Aachen region and thus to contribute to shaping structural change in the Rhenish mining area. To this end, work design methods and strategies are being developed, an infrastructure for testing and evaluating technical solutions created, and the exchange of knowledge and networking of local players and stakeholders promoted. This research and development project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Researchunder the funding measure “Future of Work: Regional Competence Centers of Labor Research. Designing new forms of work through artificial intelligence” in the program “Future of Work” and supervised by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA).
