Parking advice:
Free parking for guests is available on the right behind the FIR building and can be reached via Doris-Schachner-Straße. Please drive to the end of the street and then keep right to park in the gravel parking lot. (Note: Please do not park on the raised kerb opposite the building, as parking is prohibited there and will be penalized accordingly. In the side streets, parking is only permitted in designated areas).
Directions from motorway junction Aachen (A4/A44):
- Take the A4 in the direction of Aachen/Heerlen/Antwerp until exit AC-Laurensberg
- Turn right into Roermonder Straße towards Aachen-Zentrum
- approx. 600 m until fork right direction Aachen-Melaten
- Second exit direction Aachen-Melaten
- Take the first exit at the roundabout - and then only about 600 m to Campus-Boulevard 55
- Parking: turn right into Wilfried-König-Str. and drive to the end of the street. Ring the bell at the barrier of the parking lot at "FIR" or "EICe.
By plane
- To the airports Düsseldorf International or Cologne/Bonn - Konrad Adenauer. From both airports there are train connections to Aachen. More on www.db.de.
By bus from Aachen central station
- Line 3A from stop 1 direction Aachen, Uniklinikum to Campus Melaten (Physikzentrum), from there 8 min. walk to Campus-Boulevard 55
OR line 13B from stop 2 direction Aachen, Ponttor to Aachen Audimax, from Audimax from stop 2 with line 73 direction Aachen, Uniklinikum to Campus Melaten (Physikzentrum), from there 8 min walk to Campus-Boulevard 55 - From other points in the city centre, lines 12, 22 and 23 also run to Wilfried-König-Str., the stop directly in front of the building.
