selfoptimizing and ordertype-related cybernetics of the order initiation in overload situations of small and medium-sized enterprises with a huge amount of short-term incoming orders

The main objective of the project was the design of a decision support for the order initiation of small and medium-sized enterprises with a huge amount of short-term incoming orders in overload situations.

The research project “SelfOrder” provided a valid and understandable decision support for self-optimizing order initiation for producing small and medium-sized enterprises with a high amount of short-term orders with a special focus on overload situations. The project developed in combination with existing and purposed methods of IT planning systems for the order initiation, especially in overload situations, a new and proper decision support, in order to react appropriate on market-side factors. This project should give answers for production planner of small and medium-sized enterprises to the following questions, in order for a goal-compliant prioritize of short-term orders in overload situations:

  • How can I as a production planner identify important orders quickly in overload situations?
  • How does the prioritization have an impact on my existing orders?
  • How can I influence my logistic objectives positively despite of my manual intervention?
