VET4CHAINS

Boosting VET excellence in Work Based Learning to support SMEs of Latin America and Europe in their transition to Sustainable Value Chains in the Automotive sector

The aim of the 'VET4CHAINS' research project is to develop and implement a high-quality work-based learning (WBL) training solution aimed at supporting SMEs in the automotive industry in their transition to sustainable value chains.

Initial Situation

The current vocational training landscape requires innovative approaches to close the gap between theoretical training and the requirements of the world of work. In the automotive sector in particular, there is a need for sustainable training solutions that are based on practical learning and are geared towards the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Solution Approach

The 'VET4CHAIN' project focuses on an innovative solution. The project is developing a training solution for work-based learning (WBL) that is specifically geared towards sustainable value chains in the automotive industry as part of work-based learning. Particular attention is paid to a blended learning training concept that takes into account the needs of VET practitioners and organizations in the target regions.

Expected Result

The expected outcome of the 'VET4CHAIN' project is the creation of a comprehensive, internationally recognized training solution that takes work-based learning in the automotive industry to a new level. This program will not only strengthen the skills of VET practitioners, but also promote the transition of SMEs to sustainable value chains. The blended learning concept will enable an effective integration of theory and practice.
