RCM beginning for an identification of lifecycle orientated maintenance strategies for small and medium-size enterprises of the metal and plastic processing

The aim of the project was high equipment availability with preferably small costs by the optimal combination of maintenance strategies for small and medium-size enterprises.

High equipment availability with preferably small costs by optimal combination of maintenance strategies - in order to make this goal reachable for small and medium enterprises (SME), a methodology was developed in the research-project IH-Mix-Id, which supported plant-operators to find the optimal mixes of different maintenance strategies fast and costefficiently. The strategy selection was simplified but at the same time dynamic and new maintenance strategies were developed and included.
